Take a tour of Riverside Maple Farms
New York is the second largest (and growing) producer of maple syrup in the country. Join Riverside Maple Farms and Discover Schenectady as we celebrate maple season with a week of events, food, and maple tree tapping. 

  • March 23-24, 10 am - 6 pm - Stop by Riverside Maple Farms in Glenville, New York for a free tour to learn how maple syrup is made from tap to table. Enjoy samples of maple products including syrup, spread, and cotton candy. Learn about the versatility of maple syrup from savory dishes to classic pancakes with recipes from around the state. Taste some maple specialties from some of the area's best food trucks.
  • March 23-24, 10 am - 4 pm - Stop by Riverside Maple Farms for area food truck favorite The Mac Factor, dishing hot bowls of their famous mac and cheese. Enjoy The Adirondack which features Riverside Maple Farms' own Very Dark syrup.
  • March 23-24,12-6 pm - Hike, snowshoe, cross-country ski, or sled the Maple-Beer Trail. This 1/4 mile long trail links Wolf Hollow Brewing Company to Riverside Maple Farms. Green maple leaf signs point the way to Riverside Maple Farms and wolf paw signs point to Wolf Hollow Brewing Company. 
  • March 23-31 - Enjoy special dishes, drinks, and dinners at some of Schenectady County's best restaurants including Johnny's, Villa Italia, River Road House, Turf Tavern, Oliver's Cafe, and Rooster's NY.
  • March 27, 10 am - Kitchen demonstration. Stop by Riverside Maple Farms to watch them make one of their maple treats.
  • March 28, 4 pm -  Ever wonder how Riverside Maple Farms makes its famous maple cotton candy? Stop by Riverside MapleFarms from 4-5 pm for a special cotton candy making demonstration.
