Looking for a sweet treat that is also dairy-free? Try out our fluffy vegan maple brownies! This versatile recipe allows for any add-ins; nuts, peanut butter chips, marshmallows, or even more chocolate chips :) We used a muffin tin for a easy and portable afternoon treat.
1 cup applesauce (can use oil if you want a denser brownie)
1 cup maple syrup
1/2 cup soy milk or almond milk
1 tbsp. vanilla
2 cups flour
1 cup cocoa
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 tbsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup chocolate chips
Pre-heat oven to 350° and grease a baking pan or muffin tin.
Mix together applesauce, maple syrup, soy milk and vanilla.
In a separate bowl, combine flour, cocoa, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
Combine the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients and mix. Gently fold in chocolate chips and any other dry ingredient you may want.
Bake for 30 to 35 minutes. Let cool for at least an hour and enjoy!
