Take a maple twist on this middle Eastern classic dessert!
Mix together nuts, sugar, and cinnamon. In a saucepan, combine maple, water, and lemon juice, bringing to a boil. Let cool.
Unroll phyllo dough. Butter a pan or cookie sheet. Place two sheets of phyllo dough at bottom of pan and brush with butter. Every three layers, place a bit of maple syrup mixture. Every 6th layer of dough, sprinkle maple sugar nut mixture. Bake at 375 degrees for 30-35 minutes, pouring remaining syrup mixture on top.
